Getting the object of your heart's desire could actually be the thing that ruins you, while enduring hardships and discipline are what refine you. Abraham discovers this in Gen. 22. This message examines his journey with God and how God's challenge to Abraham kept him from making an idol out of family.
Despite the absence of golden calves, idolatry is still something all around us today. An idol is anything we value more than God. This messages introduces the series on idolatry and gives some ways to identify the idols in your life.
